April is Bowel Cancer Awareness Month - Day 4 Symptoms

Bowel cancer can be successfully treated in over 90% of cases if detected at an early stage. However, only 15% of patients currently receive an early diagnosis. Raising awareness about bowel cancer and spotting the symptoms is one way of hopefully increasing the amount of people  being detected. In the UK one person dies every 30 seconds.

If you have any of these symptoms, go and see your doctor - please don't feel embarrassed or ignore them. Most people with these symptoms don't have bowel cancer, and other health issues have similar symptoms, but you need to go to your GP.

Please visit Bowel Cancer UK for comprehensive details on the symptoms of bowel cancer.
